Practicing Death Competency: Exploring Mortality Through the Story of Inanna
What would change if death wasn’t something we avoided, but something we gently turned toward? One of the reasons I’m so passionate about this work is that I believe we need more opportunities to build our death competency. Death competency is the ability to understand and navigate our own relationship with death and dying. As we become more comfortable exploring mortality, we often find ourselves living more fully, loving more deeply, and showing up with greater presence for others. That’s why I’m offering a Death Meditation & Reflection Workshop: The Descent and Return of Inanna. Together, we’ll explore this ancient story as a lens for contemplating death, loss, surrender, and renewal. Through guided meditation, reflective writing, and optional sharing, we’ll create a gentle space to deepen our relationship with death. When we befriend death, we affirm life.

Some feedback from past participants of Tracy's offerings . . .
Tracy is one of the best teachers I have ever had the honour of studying with. I took an EOL course with her and am so glad to have had the opportunity. Tracy held space for the depth and nuances of what we were learning, and the students, with grace, wisdom and humility. I felt seen, heard, and safe. I highly recommend her.
Vancouver, B.C.
I first met Tracy when she facilitated my End-of-Life Doula training in 2020. I was so impressed by her empathy and sincerity and her ability to lead all of us in such a sensitive, compassionate and knowledgeable way. Training with Tracy was a profound experience and has changed my life.
End-of-Life Doula and Hospice Volunteer
I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to Tracy. She facilitated a workshop on listening skills for a group of Hospice volunteers with skill and compassion. From the moment we first spoke and began planning the workshop, I felt supported. The feedback from the workshop participants was also five star. They felt they received useful and practical information to help build their listening skills. They also felt that they were given time to share in a safe and supportive environment. We look forward to hiring Tracy back to explore and discuss different topics to do with end of life. She brings all of her knowledge and experience to any group. But what shines brightly through is her incredible warmth her sense of humility and love.
