Exploring Medical Assistance in Dying: A Compassionate Community Conversation

This webinar will be a safe(r) space for anyone curious about MAID - whether you’re just beginning to learn or have personal or professional experience. We will cover the nuances of decision-making, gaps in care, and how companions can offer vital support. Through guided discussions, breakout groups, and reflective questions, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of MAID, more confidence in navigating these conversations, and a sense of how to offer compassionate presence in the process. As your facilitator, I will guide each part of the session with care, offer grounding practices, and ensure we have space for everyone’s voices. I hope you’ll join us!

What people are saying

Tracy has facilitated end-of-life conversations in a variety of settings for over a decade and guided thousands of participants in exploring the tender topics of death and grief.

I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to Tracy. She facilitated a workshop on listening skills for a group of Hospice volunteers with skill and compassion. From the moment we first spoke and began planning the workshop, I felt supported. The feedback from the workshop participants was also five star. They felt they received useful and practical information to help build their listening skills. They also felt that they were given time to share in a safe and supportive environment. We look forward to hiring Tracy back to explore and discuss different topics to do with end of life. She brings all of her knowledge and experience to any group. But what shines brightly through is her incredible warmth her sense of humility and love.

I would highly recommend Tracy as a facilitator and as an End of Life doula. She facilitated the End of Life Doula course I took at Douglas College where she made a safe space for everyone to be heard, while providing course content that was inspiring and thought provoking. This not only helped me professionally as a doula, but I also felt validated as she witnessed and supported me as I traveled on my own personal journey of grief and loss throughout the course.

Tracy is one of the best teachers I have ever had the honour of studying with. I took an EOL course with her and am so glad to have had the opportunity. Tracy held space for the depth and nuances of what we were learning, and the students, with grace, wisdom and humility. I felt seen, heard, and safe. I highly recommend her.
